Clikc here to provide aid to a pet in need of help

What to Expect:

When you arrive for your end-of-life appointment, you will be ushered into our designated comfort room. This space is created to provide a serene and peaceful atmosphere during this emotional time. In the comfort room, you and your pet will be surrounded by dim lighting, soft music, candlelight, and the warmth of a fireplace, creating an environment of solace.

To ensure the utmost care, we administer a mild sedation medication via an IV catheter. This helps your pet peacefully fall asleep, ensuring they are comfortable and unaware of their surroundings. You are welcome to stay with your pet throughout the process.

Once the sedation takes effect and your pet is peacefully asleep, the veterinarian will administer the medication to gently stop their heart. Our goal is to provide a pain-free and dignified passing, allowing you to be with your pet during their final moments.

Additional Services:

We offer various options for aftercare, including:

  •     Private Cremation: Receive your pet's ashes in a personalized urn.
  •     Communal Cremation: Your pet is scattered with others at the memorial crematory center.
  •     Home Burial: Choose to lay your pet to rest in the comfort of your own space.

In addition to these options, we provide keepsakes such as hair clippings, paw prints, and ink prints of the nose to cherish your pet's memory.

Comforting Touches:

To add a touch of sweetness to this difficult time, we offer special treats that pets can't have in their regular lives, like chocolate kisses. Everyone deserves to savor such delights at least once.

Personalized Checkout:

We understand that this process is emotionally challenging, and we aim to support you every step of the way. All paperwork and checkout are handled in the comfort room, allowing you to grieve privately and leave when you are ready.

At Animal Hospital of Rowlett, we are here to provide not just a service but a heartfelt farewell, ensuring that your pet crosses the rainbow bridge with dignity, surrounded by love.End of life for your dog
